The first Shawarma restaurant was established in 2006 in Kanata. It was then called Shawarma Prince. Not strange to ambitious Lebanese families, family growth means business growth. Ibrahim worked really hard to ensure that the new comers of his family would benefit and grow with him in his business. He started to open new locations and delegated them to his family members until the 6 locations target was reached in 2012.
With the help of his brother Kassem, the rebranding and the franchising process was the goal put in place in order to evolve as a proper franchise business. This happened with goodwill and feedback from his loyal customers and friends. Prince Gourmet was rebranded in 2020 to become Chez Shawarma. This was done in order to give the brand a different and nontraditional aspect of Shawarma and Lebanese food, and also a name that reflects the real Gourmet food served at its locations.
Staying true to the original vision of providing authentic Lebanese cuisine, the menu at Chez Shawarma contains signature Lebanese dishes such as Shish Taouk, Shawarma as Pitas or Plats as well as Garlic Potatoes, Falafel, Fattouche, Hummus and Tabbouleh, but also includes a range of vegetarian options, salads and soups all based on family recipes.
